Position Overview:
Technical trainers and instructors educate people in wind industry topics. Courses cover a broad range of subjects, including general education on wind and renewable energy, safety, regulatory requirements, and technology issues, and may involve hands-on instruction.
In ConverterTec the Technical Trainer may also be responsible for solving technical issues, contributing troubleshooting advice into product manuals and available knowledge systems.
Responsibilities:
- Train customer technicians on the proper operation and maintenance of installed equipment;
- Instruct and demonstrate how to apply technical knowledge and develop practical skills;
- Demonstrate, supervise, and ensure the safe and correct use of tools and equipment;
- Monitor trainees’ progress, assign practical tasks, and evaluate performance;
- Provide feedback and discuss progress with trainees, supervisors, or company representatives;
- Design and simulate faults and real-world scenarios for troubleshooting practice;
- Deliver training using a variety of methods to support learning in renewable energy technologies;
- Demonstrate routine maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and the use of industry-specific tools (e.g., wind resource modeling and diagnostic tools);
- Assign hands-on exercises such as system diagnostics, control system fault troubleshooting, and component replacement;
- Supervise practical training sessions in workshops and field environments;
- Provide troubleshooting and other technical support for a range of ConverterTec products via telephone, email, knowledgebase systems, and other suitable communications tools;
- Prepare documentation for customers (technical reports, technical solutions, electrical drawings and manuals);
