Your mission

Position purpose

The System Architect – Inverter Systems, reports to the Head of Engineering and is responsible for providing a high level of platform/product design, mentoring to other Engineers and managing all technical activities in the R&D projects, technology road map definition, strategic planning, execution and presentations. This position works under a low level of supervision with a high level of independent work. The System Engineer provides awareness and understanding of overall project portfolio, interactions and issues. This position has a high level of industry/customer contact and industry awareness. In addition, this position participates in enterprise negotiation and provides technical evaluation of new opportunities within the PLC process.

Your Tasks
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and execution detailed phases of technology platform definition and development for product in category of power frequency converters (starting from kilo and increasing in to scale to multi megawatts).
  • Define System Vision & Requirements – translate market, regulatory, and operational needs into clear technical requirements, needed for internal and external presentation both technical and business.
  • Define converter/inverter topology, control methods, and integration approach for company new products.
  • Perform work that involves conventional engineering practices, but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Provide direct support of PMO, sales, manufacturing, purchasing and development.
  • Set technical direction on complex projects and problem solving guidance.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, testability and reliability criteria.
  • Design, support and/or test moderate to high complexity systems considering standardization.
  • Define electrical, mechanical, and software integration points.
  • Expert knowledge of IEC, CE, UL and Marine standards such as GL, LR, ABS.
  • Represent the technical vision in customer and stakeholder meetings.

Your profile

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required.
  • Greater than 8 years in related field required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations.
  • Expert technical writing skills (analysis, reports, etc.)
  • Competent complex problem solving/troubleshooting skills for both components and subsystems.
  • Knowledge of Engineering quality systems (PLC, Engineering change).
  • System lead/architect to the design of complex products/systems.
  • Demonstration of leadership skills, ability to drive results across organizational boundaries.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes, including spending approximately one week per month in Krakow.
